Langtang Helicopter Tour is one of the unique and exciting tour packages in Nepal. It has many things to offer. While the major attraction of this region is the dramatic Gosaikunda Lake, Langtang has amazing landscapes, thrilling weather and welcoming people. The most amazing thing being the ancient-old cultures and rituals of this region that are still continued. It is a pleasure to witness such a glorious and inviting culture still alive to this date. Besides that, the phenomenal peak of Ganesh Himal appears outstanding from almost any region around the Langtang. This mountain completes the Langtang region as one of the exceptional tourist destinations in Nepal.
Gosaikunda has 108 lakes in total. The water in these lakes remain frozen for about 6 months and then melts to feed the glistening and outrageous Trishuli river. At a glance, many of these lakes appear turquoise in color, which makes them even more attractive. There are amazing landscapes around, making this place perfect for photoshoot; in fact, famous personalities such as Miss Nepal have been posting their pictures taken around these lakes as one of their best pictures ever taken. Also, this lake is very close to the heart of Tamang people (Locals).
Tamangs believe this lake to be the abode of Hindu Gods and deities. Some of their rituals have direct link to the existence of this lake. Every year, thousands of Hindu devotees from around the country, including the locals, visit the Gosainkunda lake system to celebrate their longstanding cultures. Luckily, you may get the chance.
Day 1: Airport pickup & Kathmandu Sightseeing
Day 2: After breakfast go to Dom.Airport Flight to Langtang Kyangjin Gompa (45m)
Day 3: Departure
One of our representatives will be waiting for pickup at the airport. S/He will welcome you in a traditional Nepali style: with a fresh garland and red vermillion. Then, through the winding alleys of Kathmandu, s/he will accompany you to your hotel. Take a rest for about 2 hours and then, we will go sightseeing.
Depending on the time of your arrival, we will try to explore at least 4 UNESCO listed World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. Patan Durbar square, the 1st place we visit, is the remarkable architectural marvel garnished by the delicate sculptures and carvings of ancient Nepal. The other structures such as Pashupatinath Temple (17th-century temple, with over 500 shrines established within its vicinity), Boudhanath Stupa (one of the recognized unique structure stupas in the world), and Swayambhunath Temple (the 8th-century structure, believed to have self-incarnated) constitute a crucial part of the sightseeing. Kathmandu is the beautiful introduction of Nepal.
Early in the morning, we will catch a brief flight to Kyangjin Gompa, a classic-styled Buddhist
monastery. After exploring the interior and exterior décor of this monastery, we will walk
towards the phenomenal village of Tamang people. Through the narrow and bizarre-looking
mountain trails, we will head towards the Gosaikunda Lake system to enjoy the beauty of this
region. On a clear day, Ganesh Himal offers an extra shine to this region. On the way back, we
will have traditional lunch with the local people and then, return back to Kathmandu from the
same flight.
With the overall travel team, you will enjoy the traditional Nepali feast in the morning. We may as well shift this program to Day 2, depending on your choice. Then, we will explore the markets of Thamel and then, escort you to the airport for departure.
If you wish to extend your stay and explore other packages, we are ready to plan some special trips for you.
