With three Districts Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur in it, Kathmandu Valley is surrounded but the green mountain walls and the snow-capped mountains guard the valley. The valley is rich in Buddhist and Hindu culture and Religion. However, the whole country is covered with secularism. Abundant spots which are enlisted in the World Heritage sites are inside Kathmandu. For anyone who is planning to climb mountains in Nepal, Kathmandu is the Gateway for it. For anyone who wants to be preserved with the serenity of the Teachings of Gautam Buddha, Kathmandu is the starting line. To start the journey of Pokhara, the city of lakes, Kathmandu is a warm place for anyone to welcome.

Sightseeing in Kathmandu sounds like a very mundane term. Anywhere you go, you cannot stop to feel the culture and experience mystic creations. The Durbar Squares: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Lalitpur Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square which are attractions ballots in World Heritage sites are the gifts from the Malla dynasty of Nepal dating back to the 12th Century.  Boudhanath Stupa is a World Heritage site that beautifully depicts Buddhist Traditions on the other hand, the Pashupatinath Temple which is the most important Hindu Temple on the Banks of the Bagmati River can make you feel the aura of the Hindu religion. The Royal Palace which is now a museum, the site of the infamous 2001 Massacre of Royal Family is another must-see Attraction place.

  1. Thamel is the oldest city part of Kathmandu. It is the commercial hub of Kathmandu. The nightlife of Thamel is another mentionable thing. From Mountain gear you need before you plan for treks to the serene Thanka paintings, Thamel is a wholesome site for books, restaurants, clothing stores, and antique shops. Different High-standard hotels are also here.
  2. Pasupatinath and drive you to your first stop, the Pashupatinath temple. This temple is considered to be one of the most sacred Hindu temples devoted to Lord Shiva. Explore the temple complex, see the rites, and see the cremation ghats on the Bagmati River. 
  3. Budhanilkantha Temple: Located here is a Deity of Lord Vishnu, Vishnu (Narayan) Jalasayana, lying on Ananta Sesa, in the cosmic ocean. The Deity is over 1,000 years old. Lord Vishnu is about 5m (17 ft) long and is lying in a 13m (43 ft) long tank, as if floating, with His legs crossed.
  4. Swaymbhunath Temple: Known as Monkey Temple, Swaymbhunath Temple is a prime place for sightseeing in Kathmandu. It can act like a binocular for making a smart peek at the chaos city of Kathmandu. The Temple is a religious place for both Hindus and Buddhists.  Located on the Top of the Hill, this holy shrine is an imposing stupa with Fascinating Buddha eyes and a golden spire. This place offers a breathtaking view of Kathmandu Valley. This site is believed to have originated 2000 years ago.
